Munnar

The exotic hill station in Kerala which is located at a hight of 5200 above sea level. Nestled in the high ranges of western ghats  ( which is listed in world heritage site by UNESCO). The destination is famous for its cool and pleasant climate throughout the year. This hill station is famous for the evergreen beauty of tea gardens, shola forests and grass lands   . The word Munnar means combination of 3 rivers Muthirapuzha, Nallathanni and kundalai.in the late 18th century the European settlers started tea plantations in Munnar and since then it used to be their favourite summer retreat. This hill station later on emerged as a famous hide out for honeymooners, family and all sections of society over years .Munnar has many places for interest for the tourists like ever green valleys, dams,lakes , national parks ,mountain ranges etc. The place is well connected from Cochin, Madurai and Coimbatore.
